Description: |
A letter to Bishop Bouvier about the slow progress of the community and a letter from Bishop de la Hailandière promising to approve the Rule and give over the deed, due, she is sure, to Bishop Bouvier’s intercession. However she is checking with a lawyer as to the validity of the deed. She reports on plans to enlarge the Academy, says they are watching their funds carefully and at present have no debts. There are a good number of prospective entrants as well as girls seeking baptism. The schools are doing well and they plan to open another in Fort Wayne in September. Dated July 21, 1846. |
