Mother Theodore writes about the arrival of Bishop Bazin, who bears no prejudice against the Congregation and treats them with kindness and benevolence. Sister St. Francis received a crushing letter from Bishop La Hailandière that she shared with Bishop Bazin. Mother Theodore, several Sisters, and Father Corbe are travelling to Vincennes for Bishop Bazins consecration. Mother Theodore encourages Bishop Bouvier to write to the Congregation and Bishop Bazin. Dated October 21, 1847. |
