Description: 419 West North Street, Lebanon. Accompanying caption: This Neo-Jacobean style residence was built by Joseph Preston Coverdale at 419 West North Street (southeast corner intersection North Jameson and West North Streets) in 1893. After Coverdales death in 1938, the property was bought by Ralph Ten Eyck, and extensiviely remodeled (after fire damaged upper structure). Reduced to story and a half house. Was bought and lived in by the Fred Duff family (bought about 1941, lived in only a few years. coverdale married Nettie Baird, of Lebanon, in 1880, in Kansas. They came to Lebanon for residence in 1892, building the house the following year. Mrs. Coverdale died Mar. 28, 1929, and he died Mar. 18, 1938. The old photo was among the effects which belonged to the late Neva Whitaker Duthie, and given to me by her heirs. Stamped on the back was Frank Whitaker, Amateur Photographer. Frank was a brother of Mrs. Duthie. their father was David Stanton Whitaker, a long time Lebanon jewelry store owner.--Ralph W. Stark, 1/13/72
