Floats for the Parade at the Dedication of the Boone County Courthouse

Description: Floats for the parade at the dedication of the fourth Boone County Courthouse in front of the B. Frank Coombs home (116 East Washington Street; the home was razed around 1960, and a parking lot was on the site in January 1969). Orton H. Carmichael and Benjamin F. McKey are on the left; the fat man seated on the porch is Strange N. Cragun. Rushton Witt is driving the first Cadillac, with George Campbell in the passenger seat. Byron L. Jones is driving the second car. The boy in the second car is Donald Coombs, and the girl in the center in the back of the second car is Janice Coombs. The second car is decorated for Coombs Drug Store
