This broadside describes the platting and conditions of the town of Monroe near Turmans Creek about halfway between Vincennes and Terre Haute, Indiana. Turmans Creek runs in Sullivan and Vigo counties today. This town of Monroe does not exist in 2025, if it ever did, but based on description, the site lay near the current towns of Sullivan. The broadside advertises available lots for purchase from Benjamin Tarman. |
