Salomon, Louis to John Badollet

Description: Letter is unsigned, but the author is believed to be Louis Salomon; the letter is numbered 98 and appears on the list of letters from Salomon to Badollet. Salomon begins this letter with a discussion of aging and death. He goes on to say he has learned much about etiquette since he last saw Badollet, and talks about some of the high society people he has met and experiences he has had, including one instance in which he won quite a bit of money ($165, all told) playing gambling games. Salomon then remarks on the candidates who have come forward for the next presidential election, none of whom he seems to approve of, before stating as he always does that he would love for Badollet to visit Washington.
