Noblesvilles New City Hall 1987

Description: This is a photo album on the construction and renovation of the 1987 City Hall which was donated to the Hamilton East Public Library in November 2020 by Library Board member John Partlow. His father, Paul Partlow, was the photographer. The photo album shows various stages of construction inside and outside in 95 photos. When the Noblesville Library moved from the Carnegie Library to its new building off of Cumberland Road in 1986, the city of Noblesville decided to renovate the old Carnegie building to construct a new City Hall. This renovation took place in 1987.There are 40 album pages which house 95 photos, one dedication pamphlet, and one two-sided map showing the ground and first floor.Construction began in July 1987 and was supposed to be completed by November 1, 1987. The completion date was backed to December 4, 1987. Offices began moving in December 10, 1987. The dedication ceremony and open house were held on Sunday, December 13, 1987 Outgoing Mayor Pat Logan spend just a few days in her new office. Incoming Mayor Mary Sue Rowland was installed January 1, 1988.
