Noblesville Mayor Docket Book 1887-1890, Volume 10

Description:	This volume dates from 1887-1890 and is actually the earliest Noblesville Mayor Docket Book. It is also the most fragile one. The spine and front cover are missing. Most of the pages are loose. The index is incomplete as a few of the pages are missing, namely index pages A-J. Although pre-printed pages from 50-566 exist, pages 488-566 do not have any case records. Pages 50- 487 recorded case decisions and these pages were scanned. The first case is recorded on page 51 and dated May 18, 1887 heard by Mayor Edgar C. Wilson and the last recorded case was dated April 24, 1890 and heard by John F. Neal. We gave it the Volume 10 label as it was the last docket book to be scanned. The loose pages found in the book were also scanned. Interspersed throughout the volume are hand-written transcripts involving cases which are often continued to various pages located further in the book. These hand-written transcripts do not necessarily connect to surrounding pages but more often to pages throughout the volume. Some of those transcripts appear to be civil action cases rather than criminal cases.
