Description: This letter was written by William C. Olds to his father Frank A. Olds while he was stationed with Company C of the 63rd Indiana Infantry Regiment outside of Atlanta, Georgia. He discusses the siege of Atlanta and the fighting his regiment is involved with, casualties, the looting and desecration of dead soldiers, and opinions about the Atlanta Campaign.
