This letter was written by William C. Olds to his father Frank A. Olds while he was stationed with Company C of the 63rd Indiana Infantry Regiment outside of Atlanta, Georgia. He discusses his living conditions, rumors about the movements of the Union and Confederate armies, his thoughts on the possible capture of Mobile, Alabama, by the Union, and rumors of Confederate discontentment.
