Description: This letter was written by Ransom T. Young to his sister Mary E. Jones while he was stationed with Company F of the 11th Indiana Infantry Regiment at Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland. He discusses his life at the fort and his desires to go home. He also discusses Confederate prisoners brought to the fort from the Shenandoah Valley to take oaths of allegiance.
