Road construction on Main Street in Plainfield, Indiana. The roadwork on U.S. 40 included infrastructure upgrades, widening of the lanes, and paving. Much of this area of Main Street was still brick at this time and piles of dirt block the street access. Looking east on the north side is Straffords Pharmacy, Kroger Grocery, an ice cream shop, Coca Cola sign, and Cafe sign. This is the corner of Main Street and Center Street. |
