Description: |
This building had a very typical Victorian functional commercial entrance. The first floor was the site of Lewman & Company Wholesale grocery story and showcases its goods in wide large front windows, that were blessed with shades on the inside to protect the products from the afternoon sun. There were two floos above, possibly for storage or apartments. As the property was on a corner, it included a nicely framed side window near the front of the building for the curious. There were six windows or openings along the side;. In 1982, it was one of the campuses of Ivy Tech, the center of its Health Occupations department. |
