525. David B. G. Rose

Description:	A photograph of David B. G. Rose taken from a local business directory. While it is possible to read his name and one other, the remaining words are too faint or are chopped off. He purchased the Fern Grove property from the Louisville and Jeffersonville Ferry Company in 1923, refurbished the park, and opened for business under the name Rose Island. The photograph shows a balding, middle-aged man, wearing the round glasses of the 1920s. He has a serious expression on his face. His shirt and suit show a white waxed collar and white tie.
