The Rochester sentinel (Rochester), 1895

Description: After many name changes since its first appearance in 1865, Henry A. Barnhart acquired the publication in May, 1886. He turned it into a daily version in 1896. He turned management over to Harold and Floyd Van Trump when he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1908, but kept ownership. Barnhart and his sons would oversee the title until 1924, when it merged with News to form News-Sentinel. This issue celebrated the towns centennial, with images and data about the towns most celebrated places and people.
