The Covered Bridge over the Wabash River near Markle, in Wells County, Indiana. The bridge was located just west of 300 West between Oak Road and Highway 116 in Wells County. It was destroyed by an arsonist on May 28, 1966. Many people from Huntington County, Indiana used the bridge as a short cut. Sign above bridge reads "Walk your horses while on this bridge or ten dollars fine." |
