Swearing WACs into the army

Description: Members of the Headquarters Section, 3561st Service Unit at their formal oath-taking ceremony admitting them into the Womens Army Corps at Camp Atterbury, Indiana during World War II (No. 166 D). As prior members of the Womens Army Auxiliary Corps, these women had to be inducted to the new Womens Army Corps, which was formed on July 1, 1943.
