New-Denison Hotel

Description: The New-Denison Hotel, typically refereed to as the Denison Hotel, was located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Ohio and Pennsylvania streets in Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed in 1880, the large 250-room hotel was a popular meeting place for the citys politicians. After a fire in 1895, the hotel was rebuilt and expanded to 400 rooms in 1897. Although the hotel thrived throughout the 1910s, a changing economy necessitated that the building be demolished in 1933 and a parking garage was built on the site.
