Cantine de la Gare at reunion

Description: Veterans gathered outside the Cantine de la Gare provided by the Womens Overseas Service League reunion of the 42nd Rainbow Divisions national reunion in Indianapolis, Indiana at the request of Battery A. The veterans were transported to Speedway in freight cars labeled, 10 Hommes, 8 Chevaux (10 men, 8 horses), where the ladies served cookies and lemonade. The event was attended by General George Marshall, General John J. Pershing, General Henri Gouraud of France, and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ayres of Indianapolis.
