Description: May Wright Sewall, standing at the left end, and a group of women at Mount Vernon in Virginia. The image was possibly taken in 1888 during the 40th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention, which Sewall and Frances Willard planned and held in Washington, D.C. The National Council of Women emerged from the 1888 convention. Sewalls husband, Theodore L. Sewall stands to the far right with another man.
