Dorothy Cuscaden and Wallace Blankenship worked at Quartermaster Depot in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Dorothys father, Emil Ettel, served at Quartermaster Depot beginning in World War I, and had been responsible for supervising the racial integration of the Quartermaster Depot workforce. During World War II, Dorothy worked in a variety of office positions at Quartermaster Depot, with progressively greater responsibilities. Wallace served in the Air Force during World War II. Immediately after the war, he attended college, becoming an engineer. After college, he worked at Quartermaster Depot until moving into a position at RCA in Louisville, Kentucky. |
