Green Tree Mall, Clarksville, Indiana

Description: Postcard of an architectural rendition of the Green Tree Mall, Clarksville, Ind., with the Green Tree Banking Center circled. The mall fronts State Road 131, todays Lewis and Clark Parkway. The shopping mall was named for a large boundary tree that once stood at the location. The first store (Sears department store) opened in 1966, and the rest of the mall opened for business in 1968.
