John Minta

Description: Photograph of John Minta, born in Clarksville, Ind., in 1941, and remained a resident of the town for his entire life. Minta served in Clarksville government for 32 years, first on the Parks Board, then the Town Council, and Town Council President for nine years. During his tenure on the council he would be credited with helping revitalize the George Rogers Clark Cabin, construction of a commercial district on Veterans Parkway, building a new Town Hall, revitalizing the Lewis and Clark Parkway commercial district, efforts with the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center, and the planning of the Ohio River Greenway Project before his death in 2006.
