One of Jeffersonvilles landmarks--old City Hall, Jan. 1937

Description: Postcard of the old city hall, Jeffersonville, Indiana, during the Ohio River flood of 1937. The building was located on the north side of the block on Market Street bounded by Spring and Pearl Streets, only two blocks from the river. The postcard shows the flood waters almost reaching the second floor of the two-story building. During the 1937 flood it was no longer being used as the city hall.
