Description: |
Mary Wade Atteberry visited the Limberlost State Historic Site prior to the spring open house. There she spoke with tour guide, Harold Long. Retired school teacher and local historian, Harold recalled his memories of Gene Stratton-Porter. She wore trousers and most people thought that was not very proper. My cousin, Victor Long, drove her horse and buggy and later her Chalmers car. Gene referred to the Long farm in her non-fiction writing. |
