Posing with the eagle is Gyp, the Prices dog. To the left of the fireplace is a poster of President Calvin Coolidge. The wallcovering has been carefully preserved. It is called Lincrusta. It was patented in 1877 by Frederick Walton. It involved embossing semiliquid linseed oil backed with heavy canvas or waterproofed paper. |
