Petition to Justice James Scott from John Thompson for a writ of centiori, November 27, 1813

Description: In a letter dated November 27, 1813, John Thompson petitions Justice of the General Court to remand his indictments on charges of perjury, robbery and assault and battery by the Circuit Court of Franklin County. On the reverse side is a sworn statement from both John Thompson and Justice of the Peace John Bradburn that the preceding letter was true. On the front left side is a signed note dated December 4, 1813 from James Scott to his clerk to issue the writs to John Thompson.
