Petition of William Major Letter to Governor Thomas Posey, 24 April 1815, endorsement of James Dill

Request to the Governor for lenancy from fines for Walter Armstrong received 12 May 1815

Description: April 24, 1815 letter to Thomas Posey requesting pardon for a fine levied against Walter Armstrong due to a contempt of court ruling. Letter is in the handwriting of James Dill but signed by William Major. In a post script by James Dill supporting the request, he mentions that John Livingston is also supports the removal of the fine.
