Description: The Charlestown, Indiana police department had a music jamboree to raise money for the police department on March 30, 1942. This is the program booklet for the benefit. It contains a brief history of the city of Charlestown. Most of the pages are filled with business advertisements not just from Charlestown but as far away as Louisville, Kentucky. In 1942, Charlestown was a boomtown with the new Indiana Ordnance Works having just been built to supply ammunition for the war effort.
