Korean War Letter from Gratton C. Miller to Jesse G. Dorsey 8 May 1951

Description: G. C. is stationed in Mobile, Alabama. Being away from home approximately ten years has made it difficult to remember people’s names. He has a new assignment flying a large airplane, the C-74. He still flies overseas carrying cargo and passengers but the routes are not as varied as his previous assignment. He likes his new job and believes it will let him spend more time with family. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards.
