Korean War Letter from Francis C. Renn to Jesse G. Dorsey 26 Jun 1951

Description:	Francis has at least two or three letters to respond to each night. His company is just starting up their classes in Radio Repair. He has always been interested in how a radio works. His average in class is 95% and he is one of the highest scorers. He asks Jesse for any information on the Salem Sportsdrome since he likes keeping up with the local races. He remarks it will probable be two months before he will get a furlough. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards.
