Description: Photograph of Speed, Indiana looking north along what is now Highway 31 (the dirt road). The Louisville Cement Company is on the right. The train and tracks are the Pennsylvania Railroad. The first Speed Post Office opened in 1922 in the Speed Store which was located at the southwest corner of Highway 31 and Indiana Avenue.Written on back of photograph: first mail train from the north bringing mail to the new Speed Post Office
