Jeffersonville, Indiana sewer profile map for Mechanic Street 1894

Description:	A hand drawn profile view map of Mechanic Street and Through Sweeney’s Land Route From United States Quartermaster Depot to the Ohio River in the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana surveyed January 1894 by Victor W. Lyon, City Engineer, Plan B. Written on the map: “Total length of Sewer 4303” and “”Sewer Committee would not accept this route.” The map begins at Mechanic Street and 10th Street showing the grade of the red sewer line. It crosses 9th, 8th, 7th, Court, Maple, Chestnut, and Market Streets then ending at the Ohio River. Original map is 17.25”x21.5”.
