This group of photographs is of students who attended Charlestown School and of the Jonathan Jennings school building in Charlestown, Indiana which was built in 1918, used as a school until 1953, and torn down in 1966. The school was also referred to as Charlestown Elementary and the Jr./Sr. High School. All grades used the Jonathan Jennings building until 1941 when Pleasant Ridge Elementary was built. This building was on the square in Charlestown and replaced the previous public school building which was the original Clark County Court House. It was torn down in 1918. |
