Charlestown 1941 Highway 62 Progressive Traffic Treatment report

Description: This booklet shows the improvements made to Highway 62 in Charlestown, Indiana due to an increase in traffic. The US federal government began acquiring land in Charlestown, Indiana in 1940 to build an ammunition plant to supply the US military during World War II. Indiana Ordnance Works (IOW) opened in 1941 with over 20,000 employees which created the increased traffic.
