The congregation of St. Vincents organized in 1868 and the cornerstone of the present church was laid on May 2, 1887, at 1108 S. Main Street (at the intersection with Prairie Street). The church still stands at that location, although it has undergone several remodeling projects. This photograph shows the interior of the church as it was between 1910 and 1930.
