Main Street bridge

Description: The Main Street bridge, crossing the St. Joseph River and interesting with Beardsley Avenue, was constructed in 1927 as a memorial to those who died in World War I. It was the fifth construction of a bridge in this location (each increasingly more modern), and it still stands today. This undated photograph provides a view of it, looking south.
