Indiana State Fair cup

Description: In 1851 the Indiana General Assembly decided “to encourage agriculture” by authorizing a state wide fair. The following year, Indiana held its first fair in Military Park – just west of downtown along the Central Canal. This cup is a souvenir of the 4th Fair in 1855.
