The Eastman Kodak Camera Company of Rochester New York introduced its Vanity Series of Cameras in 1928. The company hoped the fashionably colored exterior of the camera would be a must have for the new female college graduate or young bride. Advertised as the “modern camera for the modern girl,” the original cost was $30.00.
