Scented oils and cosmetics were in high use during Ancient Roman times. By 300 B.C. the over use of different oils actually caused a financial crisis in Rome. Women, as well as men, used cosmetics and oil for many purposes, such as religion and personal beautification and cleanliness. Romans, in particular, preferred to perfect their appearance with cosmetics |
