Animated Casper the friendly ghost has been giving spooks a good reputation since 1945. The friendly spook first appeared in Paramounts cartoon animation and later in television and comics. Trying to live life as a ghost who would rather befriend and help others rather than scare them, he usually saves his friends from unfortunate events. Casper has been a popular figure among children in the form of Halloween costumes and toys like this 1960s doll. |
