Telegraph receiver

Description: The telegraph is just one of many forms of communication using signals. In this case, electrical signals are sent over a wire. When the message comes to the relay, or receiver, the lever under the u-shaped rod sounds out the message. This relay, made about 1945, worked in the Western Union Company offices.
