Description: |
People in the Czech Republic are crazy about ice-skating and hockey playing. The country has produced hockey stars such as Jaromir Jagr and Dominik Hasek, dozens of international figure-skating champions and a gold-medal-winning hockey team. Extreme downhill ice skating competitions are also very popular in Prague and are held regularly. Hockey and ice skating are both national sports, played by many for fun. Nearly every child in the Czech Republic owns a pair of ice skates and skates for fun. This skating figure was collected in Prague in 1965. |
