These differences could be a reflection of Italy’s numerous kingdoms or controlling influences of neighboring countries such as Austria, France, Germany, and Spain. Italian folk outfits differ regionally, depending on which part of Italy the outfit comes from, such as the north or the south. This particular outfit features lace from Naples, Italy and dates from the early 20th century. |
