Description: |
For nearly a century, inventors attempted to develop a lightweight, portable, affordable bicycle. During the gas shortage of 1975, Dr. David Hon first prototyped the folder bike when oil and gas were in short supply and fuel prices skyrocketed. Along with his brother Henry, they introduced their first model folding bike in 1983 in California where it proved popular among students, senior citizens, vacationers and others who appreciated its light weight (30 lbs.) and convenience. It folded quickly and easily without tools. |
