Red squirrel

These little guys grow up to 8 inches long, with a tail that can be up to 6 inches long all by itself. This is a very noisy squirrel, and is often heard before it is seen. It is a yellowish to reddish color, which is paler in the winter time. They live in forested areas, and are active throughout the year, usually during the day. They eat wide varieties of seeds, nuts, eggs and fungi. |
