Description: |
This is the largest member of the dolphin family. Killer whales are avid predators & feed on fish, squid, sea lions, birds & other whales. Extended family groups live together & cooperate in hunting. They have no regular migratory habits but do travel in search of food. Their echolocation sounds are probably used to find food in rough water. |
