Description: |
Armadillos are mammals related to anteaters and are found mostly in the western United States. Their bony shell backs are their most identifiable feature. Often the shells are used to make things. During a visit to the museum, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. recalled seeing the armadillo basket used as a punch bowl at the house of John Rauch during the 1920s and 1930s! |
