Wagon jack and grease pot

Hundreds of years ago, travelers depended on their wagons and carriages just as we depend on our cars today. This jack could be placed under an axle or on a wagon frame to help raise it up to change the wheel. Grease was kept in a grease pot on the wagon and acted as a lubricant to keep moving parts working smoothly. |
