Calvin Coolidge campaign pin

Description: At first, Calvin Coolidge became President of the United States without running for the office! He became the 30th United States president when Warren Harding died suddenly in 1923. He decided to run for the 1924 presidential election with Charles Dawes of Chicago as his vice-president candidate. Known as “silent Cal,” he encouraged the growth of business and industry during the 1920s.
